  7. Lightspeed NVS for UNIX allows any UNIX workstation to integrate with Wang VS
  8. Minicomputers. With the UNIX versions of Lightspeed NVS, UNIX systems can run
  9. all DP applications including Wang Office, Wang's electronic mail system, and
  10. PACE, Wang's relational database. Standalone or single users running UNIX on
  11. 386 PCs are supported as well as networked workstations with a UNIX host. Any
  12. application that does not require the downloading of microcode may run from a
  13. virtual terminal. You can even login to remote VS Systems if the VS minis are
  14. connected with Wang System Networking (WSN). Each UNIX workstation can run up
  15. to eight VS terminal windows simultaneously.

  17. Many UNIX and DOS commands work on native VS disks when a V is added to the
  18. beginning of the command. VS disk drives are simply referenced as drive V. Wang
  19. data files and Wang WP and WPPlus documents may be transferred from the Wang VS
  20. to UNIX workstations. And UNIX datafiles and documents may be transferred to
  21. the VS.

  23. Conversions to/from Wang WP, WP+, WordPerfect 4.2/5.x, IBM DOS, and ASCII are
  24. automatic when copying documents between systems. Print output from any VS
  25. program may be redirected to a UNIX printer. Supported printers include any
  26. PostScript, Hewlett Packard LaserJet, or compatibles.
